Georgina Attias - Shaman and Kundalini Yoga Teacher

MEETING WITH GEORGINA ATTIAS

"For 15 years now, I have felt dedicated to serving humanity through a subtle understanding of the world's vibrations and emotions."

Take a retreat with me

Who are you?

What an exciting question this "Who am I?" is.

It's a lifetime's journey to know and feel the shape of my "I".

I was named Georgina when I landed in Paris one morning in March 1983.

The power of the Earth's work is included in this name. My second name is Yael, a name from the Hebrew tradition. According to the texts, this heroic character saved the Hebrew people from a great threat.

Like these two names, I've always wanted to "save" the world, and Nature and its elements are my second home.

Nature is my favorite place to learn.

In short, to answer the question "Who are you?", I'd say that whatever happens, I'm in the process of learning to let life do its work. My steps are guided by my teachings and practices and by the great experience of Life, so that every day I can nourish who I AM and be in the world as simply as possible.

What's your story?

Ever since she was a little girl danceand singingand nature and reading, sharing with my friends is everything to me.

Quite naturally, the theater then gradually time came to sculpt my path, which became more and more musical and enchanted!

Singing became my tool, my passion, my refuge, my evidence.

Band after band, classical or gospel choir, bossa nova or soul, solo career after solo career...

At the same time, I was studying studies in clinical psychology at the University of Paris Diderot. I specialized in child and adolescent psychopathology.

I met him fairly quickly after graduating in psychology, the sacred master plants of the Peruvian Amazon.

In 2015, it was during my 1st trip to Peru that I discovered the sacred-energy alliance of master plants, yoga and chant-medicine.

The encounter between plants, sound vibration and movement was to become an obvious, essential and fundamental part of my life. Both personally and professionally.

The path now open to me was that ofaccompaniment through Vibration and, more precisely, the voice as a pilgrim's staff, movement as a means of entering the recesses of the being's memories, and master plants as representatives of Nature itself.

It's a path of rebirth.

And here's a little anecdote; when I met love, on my way, what was delivered to me with it was a beautiful package that I wasn't expecting at all.

This person introduced me to silent meditation and mantra chanting, Japathe repetition of the same vibration, to support the work of profound transformation.

My first love with yoga, the conscious union of body and mind, was born at this time. I'm taking a shortcut here, but I'm not far off all the same.

The first mantra that entered and left my being was the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, better known as Om Trayambakam, the mantra of the 3rd eye.

Coming from a Jewish background, I was used to singing and vibrating to prayer texts, but as I matured and gained new momentum, everything began to make sense and come alive at the time of this trip to Peru.

I could use sound, sound vibration and even yoga movements to support powerful, solid transmutation and healing processes.

The practice of medicine singing was becoming part of my everyday life.

For 15 years now, I've felt at the service of humanity, through subtle listening to the vibration and emotions of the world.

I work for a deeper quality of presence and awareness in the world, so that we can live in harmony and in the most autonomous way possible on Earth, with ourselves and with others.

What fields are you trained in?

I am a clinical psychologist specializing in child and adolescent psychopathology. and adolescent psychopathology. musical awakening for toddlersin reikiand sonotherapyI am kundalini yoga teacher as well as yin yogaI also use the yoga of sound and voice in my teaching.

I've been singing for as long as I can remember. I naturally started going to the conservatory to train in music, but ended up taking private singing lessons. From the age of 11/12 I took singing lessons to learn vocal technique.

I've been trained by many different teachers, in all styles, from classical to gospel.

I now offer vocal coaching, which has gradually taken the form of into a form of mind-body therapy..

Also, to perfect my approach to the body and energetics, I trained in massageand more specifically tantric massage.

And finally, how can I not mention my apprenticeship at the forest school?

For almost 10 years now, my heart and body have been learning shamanic work in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.

This is a magnificent apprenticeship in the way of feeling, and subtle listening to the world.

Shamanism, if it is alive and well, is once again useful in our rather Cartesian societies, offering a vision of holistic care with a broader and more complete horizon.

How do you work with your "patients"?

I've always been attracted to three things: care, art and nature.

Today, I have acquired many tools for accompaniment and healing.

My academic background as a psychologist has given me a solid grounding in subtle listening to others, their verbal and especially their non-verbal.

Once I've heard what's behind certain filters, I discuss it with the person and we find a therapeutic axis.

I work with both groups and individuals.

In my toolbox, you might find.., working with different plants during cocoa ceremonies which I guide in different spaces groups or individuals tobacco, which I also use on an individual basis, bodywork through yoga or free dancevocal coaching to free the voice but also to encounter intimacy, limits and fears sound therapy and drum traveltantric massage and intuitive energy therapy.

I work with both children and adults.

I like working with groups as much as with individuals, the work is not at all the same, and group work can have a much more shaking effect, because of the games of projection and mirroring of each other.

What's your mission here?

What interests and motivates me most today are questions of vital energy and autonomy.

How can each of us become or regain awareness, first of all, and then in control of our own path?

How can I transform my life, feel truly aligned with it and allow myself to be who I really am by being sovereign of my choices?

These are some of the questions that guide my transmissions, workshops, retreats and, of course, individual work.

I also work on the well-being of mental health by reconnecting to one's sexual energy, which is creative and life-giving.

What's it like to stay with you?

There are many answers to this question.

I'd say it depends on the number of days of the retreat, whether they're "regulars" or not.

I adapt to the space and/or the city or country where we land. We could enjoy an early-morning wake-up with a beautiful outdoor practice with the sun rising, for example.

I love offering play spaces to return to the place of childhood, a place that can be challenging for many, so we can re-approach it through games contained in a more "serious" practice.

I like participants to feel connected and immersed, even when they have time on their hands, and I create spaces where the Link is at the center.

In the evening, formal and informal sharing helps to integrate the day's events.

Playing with the energy of different moments of the day is subtle and enjoyable, so meditative singing circles, sound baths or games could be part of a logical continuity of the day.

If I get the chance, working directly with the elements, fire, water... is important to me.

I also adapt totally to the energy of the group. What may be scheduled on the program may have to change depending on the group present and the needs of the moment.

The rituals, the ceremonial, light-hearted aspect of my stays go hand in hand with a surprising, unplanned side to life.

Then everything is possible, in the service of the group in presence and in the respect of beings and Nature.

Where can we meet you?

You might see me in some Olybe rooms with whom I've been working since February 2024, but also in my office at Espace Jaya in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, where I also give numerous workshops.
